Solid 9 Carat Gold Designer Pendant and Chain
Sliogán, the Irish word for shell, and Croí, meaning heart, come together in the name Croí Sliogán - “the shell’s heart-core.” Sligo itself translates as “the Shelly Place,” a landscape deeply loved by the poet W.B. Yeats, who, from the grey pavements of London, wrote of Sligo as “the deep heart’s core.”
This poetic connection became the inspiration for the Croí Sliogán collection. Crafted in hallmarked solid 9 carat gold, the flowing shell motif holds a quiet secret, the heart-shaped space it gently encircles.

County Sligo, where Martina lives and works, means the Shelly Place. Sligo was the beloved landscape of poet W. B. Yeats, who spoke of Sligo as being "the deep heart's core" in his beloved poem “The Lake Isle of Innisfree”. Sligo, and the heart's core; these are the inspiration for our Croí Sliogán collection.
