Hallmarked Irish handmade 9 Carat gold heart pendant, designed by Martina Hamilton. From The Cloths of Heaven Collection by Martina Hamilton.
This beautiful pendant found its inspiration in the timeless poem by W B Yeats "He Wishes for The Cloths Of Heaven". In the poem Yeats seeks to draw down the light of the moon and the stars and sun to spread at the feet of his beloved.
Martina has based the sun, moon and stars etched into this piece on 6000 year old stone carvings found at Ireland’s Neolithic sitesmsuch as Newgrange, Knowth and Loughcrew.
A symbol of passionate timeless love the this piece is a very special gift for a loved one.

About the Heaven Collection
This collection carries contemporary reference to the timeless love poem by W. B. Yeats "He wishes for The Cloths Of Heaven"; but it draws upon far more ancient Irish cultural references as well. The astral etchings are inspired by stone carvings found at Neolithic sites in Ireland, such as Newgrange, Knowth and Loughcrew, underscoring the timelessness of love.
