“Had I the heavens embroidered cloths….” W B Yeats wrote in one of his greatest love poems. Indeed the gold itself that this pendant is made from is wrought in the heavens, forged in the unimaginable heat and gravity of a stars final moments.
The icons Martina has etched into this piece are inspired by astral etchings found carved into rocks at Ireland’s 6000 year old megalithic sites, fusing the most ancient symbols of Irish culture with the greatest love poetry of modern Ireland.

About the Heaven Collection
This collection carries contemporary reference to the timeless love poem by W. B. Yeats "He wishes for The Cloths Of Heaven"; but it draws upon far more ancient Irish cultural references as well. The astral etchings are inspired by stone carvings found at Neolithic sites in Ireland, such as Newgrange, Knowth and Loughcrew, underscoring the timelessness of love.
