Hallmarked Sterling Silver Pendant Inscribed in Ogham with the Irish word Grá
There’s a doubly dedicated message of devotion with this pendant. The delicate flower motif is inspired by the woodland Forget-me-not blossom. In a popular ancient European legend, the Creator had named all the plants when a tiny unnamed one cried out, "Forget-me-not, O Creator”. The Creator hearing the tiny flower replied , "That shall be your name”, so much so that in later medieval times, the flower was often worn as a sign of faithfulness and enduring love. It was supposed that the wearers of the flower would never be forgotten by their lovers.
Of course we’ve also embellished the legend a little by adding our own message Grá, the Irish word for "Love" in Ogham script.
Taken together this delicate and elegant symbolises enduring love between the giver and receiver.
