A small, unnamed stream rising in the townlands of Cloonacrin and Cloonaghbawn beneath Benbulben winds its way through North Sligo farmlands and the old Lissadell Estate grounds. Emerging from beneath a small stone bridge beside a forest - a place the locals call The Water Wall - it quietly tumbles over a bed of sea stones then melts away into the Atlantic tides.

The Rockpool Collection was created by Martina to embody the place and moment the stream emerges from beneath the shadow of the stone bridge to gently argue with the beach stones as it makes its way, it’s path dividing, shifting around about between stones, teasing out long braids of luscious green river reeds and cutting a course through the sand bar.

In choosing this moment the ring symbolizes eternal movement towards the new, of merging and of change. But here also is a theme of renewal of returning, the fresh stream water carried out into the salt water tide, rising to clouds over sea, being dropped back across the land, returning to the rivers and streams again.

For all these impulses and themes this ring makes for a truly ideal wedding band, a gift to someone beloved, or even to yourself.
