Contemporary jewellery designer Martina Hamilton draws inspiration from the wild Atlantic coastline where she lives in County Sligo, Ireland. While many of her designs are reflective of a sweeping horizon, or a tidal edge, the Rockpool Collection is much more immediate. Here the inspiration is in the minutia of her Atlantic environment, where moments of light glint and shimmer in tidal rockpools, offset by sea rounded pebbles, where submerged surfaces are etched and carved by the action of sea and native sea creatures that carve their presence into the stone.
