The Rockpool Ring Collection from Martina Hamilton is a beautiful tribute to the timeless journey of water and the natural cycles that shape our landscape. Inspired by a small, unnamed stream that rises in the townlands of Cloonacrin and Cloonaghbawn beneath Benbulben, the ring captures the moment the stream emerges from beneath a stone bridge and winds its way through the farmlands and Lissadell Estate grounds. Known locally as The Water Wall, the stream tumbles over a bed of sea stones before merging with the Atlantic tides. Rockpool embodies this moment of gentle conflict as the stream meanders over stones, shifting around them and weaving long braids of river reeds, carving its path through the sand. Martina Hamilton’s design symbolizes eternal movement, renewal, and change, as the stream merges with the saltwater tide, rising to the clouds and returning to the rivers and streams once again.
